Xcel Energy’s proposed $2.5bn Colorado Energy Plan includes potential additions of 1GW of wind power capacity, 700MW of solar and up to 700MW of natural gas and/or energy storage capability.
Xcel on Tuesday filed a stipulation with a broad coalition of 14 stakeholder groups, asking the Colorado Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) to approve a process that could lead to approval for the investment in rural Colorado.
