The Australian state of Victoria has unveiled plans for a 650MW renewable energy auction – for wind and solar capacity – coupled with a target to power up to 25% of the state from renewables by 2020 and 40% by 2025.
Victoria premier Daniel Andrews will introduce legislation to the state parliament this week to implement the renewable energy targets.
