Banks Renewables has landed permission from Scotland’s East Ayrshire Council for the 74.8MW Lethans onshore wind project.

The approval was granted with an unanimous non-objection support by council members, the developer said in a statement.

The scheme will now be reviewed by the Scottish Government’s Energy and Consents Department as the proposed project’s capacity surpasses 50MW, said Banks.

The Lethans comprises 22 turbines, which will be located east of New Cumnock in East Ayrshire.
