Duke Energy today issued a request for proposals (RFP) by 27 September for up to 500MW of wind capacity for delivery to its transmission system in North and South Carolina.
The solicitation is open to existing wind generation facilities outside the Carolinas or new ones that could be built there – from 100MW to 500MW of delivered capacity. Duke would begin accepting delivery of power by the end of 2022.
