Winergy has opened what is billed as the largest test-bench for wind turbine gearboxes in Australia.
The 2.8MW-load test bench in Rockhampton, Queensland, completes what the Germany-based drive-train specialist says is a full suite of service and repair capabilities for its products at the site.
Winergy opened the 1,500 square-metre facility in 2013.
Queensland is among the Australian states most committed to renewables, with ambitions for a 50% share for clean-energy by 2030.
