Vestas has secured a 99MW order in China with long-term customer China Datang Renewable.
The Danish OEM will deliver 45 of its V110-2.0 MW turbines, power-optimised to 2.2MW, for a project in Hebei Province. Delivery and commissioning are due from the fourth quarter.
Datang is a major buyer of Vestas turbines, with about 900MW of the manufacturer’s turbines installed.
Vestas is among the western OEMs seeking to make inroads into a Chinese onshore sector dominated by local players, and was the top foreign supplier in the market last year with a 2.2%
