Canada’s Northland Power confirmed it is business as usual as it officially ended a strategic review that saw it linked with potential Chinese buyers.

Northland – an independent power producer that has emerged as a major backer of European offshore wind projects – has spent the last year considering various options after announcing the review in July 2016.

That period saw reports of potential acquisitions by Chinese giants China Three Gorges and SPIC, or by Canadian pension funds, but nothing concrete emerged.
