US renewables heavyweight Invenergy has secured a power-purchase agreement for its 132MW Bishop Hill III wind project in Illinois, and separately announced the issuance of $136m of green bonds tied to its 70MW Campo Palomas wind farm operating in Uruguay.

Located in Henry County, near Illinois’ northeastern border with Iowa, the third phase of the Bishop Hill project is due on line in mid-2018, meaning it will qualify for the full production tax credit.
