Denmark-based OEM Vestas has confirmed a deal with Southern Power, a subsidiary of Southern Company, to supply the 148MW Cactus Flats project in Texas.
Under the deal, with an undisclosed value, Vestas will deliver 43 of its V126-3.45MW turbines to Southern Power, which earlier this week bought the project from developer RES.
The order includes supply and commissioning of turbines as well as a 20-year service agreement designed to maximise uptime and energy production, said Vestas.
