Three UK companies have been announced as the preferred bidders to build the operations and maintenance (O&M) base for Britain's 340MW Galloper offshore wind farm.

The agreements, which will total over £7m ($9m), are also for the construction of associated infrastructure at Harwich International Port.

Two of the preferred bidders are based on the UK’s east coast in Ipswich. Under the proposed deals, R G Carter will take on the construction of the O&M building and Jackson Civil Engineering Group, will handle the construction of the access road.
