There are nearly 26GW of wind capacity under construction or in advanced development in the US, up 41% since last year, as the industry begins building the huge pipeline of projects that qualified last year for the full production tax credit, according to new figures from the American Wind Energy Association.
The US installed just 357MW of new wind capacity during the second quarter, but thanks to the strongest Q1 since 2009, the year-to-date tally stands around 2.4GW
