Brazil’s leading wind power trade group ABEEólica has slammed part of the government’s power sector reform proposals for lacking details and failing to offer an adequate transition period from the current regulations.

“A liberalised market is good, I’m all for it. But you cannot do this overnight, there needs to be an adequate transition,” said ABEEólica’s executive president Élbia Silva Gannoum.
