GE Renewable Energy increased profits by 25% in a second quarter the US industrial giant said showed “solid growth” for the business unit.
The renewables business delivered a $160m profit to the group in the April-June period, up from $128m at the same stage last year, on revenues 17% higher at $2.46bn.
GE Renewable Energy orders were 2% higher, with equipment bookings 12% ahead in a quarter that saw the focus of onshore wind shift from the US to international business, GE said.
