NextEra Energy Resources has acquired development rights to the dual-site, 500MW Wheatridge project in northeastern Oregon, a move that could help revive industry growth on the US west coast.
NextEra, the nation’s largest wind energy generator and asset owner, did not release terms of its transaction with Swaggert Wind Power, a local concern. The project is believed to be the largest under development in Oregon, California and Washington State.
