Lawmakers in Wyoming will renew wind energy production tax discussions at a scheduled meeting on 3 August, with industry officials wary the Republican-led legislature could again seek to increase the existing $1/MWh levy when it re-convenes in February, Recharge has learned.
A source close to the Joint Revenue Interim Committee that will convene in the City of Thermopolis says there is nothing specific now on whether wind could play a further role in helping address the state’s ongoing need to improve its fiscal situation.
