French energy giant EDF bought project sites with a potential capacity of 600MW in a further vote of confidence in the onshore wind sector in the UK nation.
The 11-site purchase by UK unit EDF Energy Renewables (EDF ER) from developer Partnerships for Renewables includes 100MW at three sites that are already consented and one already in the planning system, with another seven in the development phase.
