Brazil has indicated that its wind power base should reach 28.5GW by 2026, accounting for 13% of the country’s total installed capacity projected by then – an average growth of 1.8GW a year for the next decade.

The figures are part of the country's draft 10-year energy expansion plan (PDE 2017-2026) that is now under public consultation until 6 August.
