A consortium made up Japan’s Hitachi and SoftBank-owned Wind Power Energy has been chosen by the Ibaraki Prefectural government to develop the 93.6MW Kashima Port South offshore wind project in eastern Japan.
Hitachi confirmed it had been selected as part of the Kajima offshore wind power consortium to work on the project. The wind farm will comprise 18 Hitachi 5.2MW
