The Canadian province of Saskatchewan has given the green light to eight unidentified wind developers to bid on up to 200MW of new capacity – although the winner will not be named until fall 2018.
Saskatchewan this week formally moved into the request for proposal (RFP) stage in its first procurement round en route to 50% renewables by 2030, amid a broader westward shift in the Canadian wind market.
