Spain-based GRI Renewable Industries will begin producing turbine towers in Argentina, in a further boost to the wind sector’s momentum since power auctions were held by the South American nation last year.
GRI will establish capacity to make 300 towers annually for the Argentine market after tying up a joint venture deal with local partner Calvino, an industrial equipment and steel products group already active in the wind sector.
