Finnish technology group Wärtsilä expects by the end of this month to deliver all 12 low voltage switchboards to Babcock Rosyth in Scotland for Dong Energy’s 1.2GW Hornsea 1 mega project in the UK North Sea.

Wärtsilä said the 12 switchboards and distribution boards are to be built into the switchrooms of the world’s first offshore reactive compensation platform, under construction by Babcock at Rosyth on the Firth of Forth on Scotland’s east coast.
