After most acreage in Germany’s first offshore wind auction in April was won by zero subsidy bids, its parliament has amended its Wind Energy at Sea Act (WindSeeG) to outlaw negative bids in order to impede a downward spiral into negative territory in next year’s 1.6GW tender.
The Bundestag late last week also lowered the price cap for offshore bids to €100 ($113.6)
