Installation work at the 50MW Tsetsii wind farm in the Gobi desert, southern Mongolia has kicked off with the first Vestas turbine now fully erected, said contractor Wood Group.
The 50MW wind farm, only Mongolia’s second and located 500km south of the capital city of Ulaanbaatar, is owned by Clean Energy Asia, a joint venture between the local Newcom Group and Japanese Softbank Energy.
