The Scottish Investment Bank (SIB) has joined Shell, E.ON and Schlumberger as an investor in UK high-altitude wind energy (HAWE) pioneer Kite Power Systems (KPS).
KPS received a £2m ($2.5m) equity investment from SIB – the investment arm of Scottish Enterprise, an agency of the Edinburgh government.
Shell Technology Ventures, E.ON and Schlumberger backed the company in a combined £5m investment round in 2016.
