Vattenfall has named a clutch of scientific projects that will share a €3m ($3.3m) research fund at the developer’s European Offshore Wind Deployment Centre (EOWDC) off northeast Scotland.
The projects will help put the region at the leading edge of offshore wind research globally, said Scottish officials, who backed the development of the 11-turbine EOWDC in the face of determined opposition from US President and local golf course owner Donald Trump.
