Dallas-based Tri Global Energy has closed on the sale of its 78.2MW Fiber Winds facility in the South Plains region in Texas to a wholly-owned subsidiary of NextEra Energy Resources, the latest deal between the two developers.

Terms of the transaction were not made public.

NextEra will use Fiber Winds’ nameplate generation capacity to help fulfill a 230MW long-term power supply agreement with Southwestern Public Service, a unit of electric utility holding company Xcel Energy that serves the northern Texas Panhandle and eastern New Mexico.
