ABB has handed over the 916MW DolWin2 offshore wind transmission link in the North Sea to the Dutch-German transmission system operator (TSO) TenneT.
The high-voltage direct current (HVDC) DolWin2 hub, ABB’s third offshore wind connection project in the region following BorWin1 and DolWin1, will be able to channel power from the Nordsee One, Gode Wind I and Gode Wind II wind farms to shore to supply more than one million households.
