Engineering consultancy Atkins has been chosen by PowerChina Huadong Engineering to design the offshore substation platform at State Power Investment Corporation’s 300MW Binhai South Phase 3 wind farm in the Yellow Sea.
Atkins, one of the first UK companies to work on a Chinese offshore wind farm, will use its extensive experience from the European offshore wind industry. The scope of its contract covers ground engineering and structural work for the offshore substation topside and jacket foundation.
