Germany-based wind OEM Senvion has concluded a cooperation agreement with utility EnBW for the construction of several hundred megawatts of onshore wind capacity throughout Germany.

At the start of the cooperation, EnBW will submit planning applications at short notice for the planned projects featuring the new Senvion 3.4M140 low-speed wind turbine, the manufacturer said.

Once approval is obtained, the wind farms are then able to participate in auctions under the German Renewable Energy Sources Act.
