Goldman Sachs says it has reached a 15-year agreement with a subsidiary of NextEra Energy Resources to purchase all 68MW of capacity from a future wind farm to power the Wall Street bank’s data centres in New Jersey.

Goldman did not make public terms of the deal, its first for commercial quantities of wind power. NextEra’s project near Scranton, Pennsylvania, is due to come online in 2019 and will help the banking giant reach its 2020 goal of procuring 100% of the energy it utilizes from renewable sources.
