Canada’s Enbridge, North America’s largest energy infrastructure company, has exercised its option to take a large minority stake in German utility EnBW’s Albatros offshore wind project – an add-on to the much larger Hohe See project, in which Enbridge is also investing.

Calgary-based Enbridge will buy a 49.9% stake in the 112MW Albatros, with EnBW retaining 50.1% -- mirroring their arrangement at the adjacent 497MW Hohe See project, in which Enbridge confirmed its investment in February.
