LM installs 66.5-metre offshore blade for Hitachi 5.2MW

GE unit LM Wind Power has completed the installation and testing of a 66.5-metre wind turbine blade for Japanese engineering company Hitachi for offshore application.

"We are very pleased to support Hitachi, a leader in the development of wind power in Japan, in this offshore development of a new rotor for their 5.2MW platform,” LM Wind Power chief executive Marc de Jong said.
