The Dutch government is preparing a new post-2023 strategy for offshore wind, which may go some way to improving long-term visibility in the sector.

Its highly regarded programme of annual tenders — in which winning developers receive contracts for difference (CfDs) and do not have to pay transmission costs — will result in 3.5GW of new offshore wind installed by the end of 2023, and has led to prices dropping as low as €54.50/MWh
