The US wind industry this week is looking for President Donald Trump to provide more detail on how his administration will cut federal red tape for new infrastructure projects including long-haul transmission lines, particularly those on public lands.
Located mainly in western states, they contain hundreds of gigawatts of some of the best onshore wind resource in the Americas, but difficulties obtaining federal approvals has severely limited their development.
