Subsea power cable specialist JDR has been tapped by the WindPlus consortium as preferred cable supplier for the 25MW WindFloat Atlantic (WFA) floating wind farm being developed off Portugal.
The project, being built around three MHI Vestas V164 turbines mounted on steel semisubmersible foundations off the coast of Viana de Castelo, will see the first floating application of high voltage 66Kv dynamic cables.
