Feed-in tariffs (FITs) for German onshore wind projects still receiving support under the old FIT-based system will fall by 2.4% from October 2017 on after additions in the 12 months to April 2017 overshot a government-set target of 2.5GW a year, the federal grid agency BNetzA said.

Germany in the wake of a reform of its Renewable Energies Act (EEG) last year started to determine the level of support for onshore wind and other renewables technologies through tenders, with a first onshore wind auction this month tendering off 807MW of capacity.
