Oil and gas firm Repsol Sinopec has unveiled plans to decommission the Beatrice offshore wind demonstration project, located around 13miles (22km) off Scotland’s Caithness coast in the Moray Firth.

The two REpower [now Senvion] 5MW wind turbines and cables will be removed as part of the wider abandonment of the whole Beatrice oil field. This work could take place between 2024 and 2027.
