As my first two columns explained, the wind industry controls its future by building on industry trends and encouraging favorable market outcomes. But the state and federal policy environment we work within is important too. There are key trends that drive wind’s growth here as well, and we need to work on accelerating them.
1) State policies
Many states are considering increasing their renewable energy standards; states with over a quarter of the US population have increased their goals since 2015.
