Spain will hold a second 3GW renewables auction “before the summer”, the country's energy ministry said, as the biggest winner of the first round told Recharge it is already advancing the wind projects it secured.
The Ministry of Energy said the new round follows “the success” of the first auction, which was more than three times oversubscribed.
A statement said the new process will allow wind and solar to compete, with the most cost-efficient projects being successful.
