Avangrid Renewables is coming out of a “lull” period and set for a burst of growth in the US under new chief executive Laura Beane, as it looks to play on its strength as a developer in more challenging state markets.

Oregon-based Avangrid Renewables — known until last year as Iberdrola Renewables — is the third-largest owner of US wind capacity, but its fleet has grown at a relatively modest pace in recent years, with no new wind farms completed in 2016.
