The first turbine has been installed at the £1.5bn ($1.8bn) 340MW Galloper wind farm off the UK. 

Siemens completed the installation of the first of the 56 6MW turbines 30km off the Suffolk coast, supported by the installation vessel Pacific Orca operated by Swire Blue Ocean. 

The offshore substation is also now in place, and work on installing the second and final export cable is “now under way”, said Galloper’s project director, Toby Edmonds.
