DNV GL has started a joint industry project (JIP) aimed at improving the collection and assessment of site condition data for offshore wind farms.
The international energy consultancy has invited industry partners to participate in the new JIP, with the knowledge generated planned to be ultimately incorporated into a DNV GL recommended practice.
The design of an offshore wind farm is dependent on the quality of the calculated site conditions used to derive the design parameters.
