Offshore wind OEM MHI Vestas has set the seal on plans to expand its facilities in the Danish port of Esbjerg with a state-of-the-art, 5,600 square-metre factory to house manufacturing of power converter modules (PCMs) for its 8MW V164 turbine.

The high-tech facility, which the turbine maker says have a dedicated space for PCM fabrication and will make it possible to make best use of the Port of Esbjerg’s “expanding offshore wind expertise”, will begin assembly work in the fourth quarter.
