New figures from the Swedish wind association reveal investment decisions for just 2MW were signed off in the country in the first quarter of 2017.

It is the lowest quarterly performance since Q2 2015, and pales in comparison to investment decisions of 273MW in the previous quarter and 63MW during Q1 2016.

Mattias Wondollek, head of grid and market at Swedish Wind Energy, explained to Recharge that uncertainties over the electricity certificate market around the beginning of the year were responsible for the downturn in investor confidence.
