German utility EnBW added another piece to its 1.5GW offshore wind jigsaw puzzle by announcing a final investment decision (FID) to proceed with the 112MW Albatros project.

Albatros is an add-on project to the 497MW Hohe See wind farm located next door in the German North Sea, for which EnBW took a FID in February.

Those projects are both in close proximity to the 900MW He Dreiht project, which was the subject of a successful ‘zero subsidy’ bid by EnBW in Germany’s April offshore wind tender.
