With Donald Trump dominating news over the last year, little attention has been paid to a marked slowdown in revenue growth in some key wind states, which could prompt them to consider following Oklahoma’s lead in either reducing subsidy support and/or taxing generation to help close budget shortfalls.

The wind industry is potentially a ready target for budget officials, as projects are difficult to cancel once underway, while those already in operation will likely remain on site for 20-30 years.
