GE Renewable Energy has won onshore turbine orders for 200MW for deployment in China’s Hebei province, bringing its total footprint with developer HECIC to 1GW.

HECIC will deploy 54 of GE’s 2.75-120 machines and 27 1.85-82.5 units at two projects in Fengning county, said the US group.

The deal – which includes GE’s Digital Wind Farm offering and a two-year service contract – will see the larger of the two wind projects use blades made by LM Wind Power, recently acquired by the US industrial giant.
