Mexico has published draft rules for its third long-term tender for contracting new power deliveries from 2020 onwards, as part of the country’s efforts to reach 35% of clean energy supply by 2024.
After a public consultation period, the government expects to publish final rules on 27 June, and on 31 July, price caps and how much capacity and Clean Energy Certificates (CELs) will be bought.
