Swedish utility Vattenfall has commissioned its 230MW Pen y Cymoedd onshore wind farm in South Wales, UK.
The project is Vattenfall's largest land-based wind farm, and has a total of 76 Siemens turbines. A storage plant for the electricity generated from the wind farm will also be built at Pen y Cymoedd, “on condition that an investment decision is made by the board of directors”, Vattenfall said.
