Portuguese wind power giant EDPR saw net profits fall in the first quarter as production came up short against “outstanding” conditions of a year earlier and expenses rose.

EDPR – which ended March 2017 with a 10.4GW global portfolio, almost all of it onshore wind – posted a net profit of €68m ($74.1m) for the January to June period, down 9% on the same period in 2016, despite adding 702MW since then.
